Decent start. Now you need to figure out how to fund this.

Grade

B+

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has introduced the first phase of the Suri Incentive to enable members to save a minimum of RM5 monthly into their EPF account, which the Government will match with a monthly contribution of RM40.

Good first step but do move faster to amend the necessary laws for the next phases.

Minimum Wage

Equalise the minimum wage nationally and start the processes to increase the minimum wage.

Grade

C+

Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran is working on implementing a RM1,500 minimum wage.

The current minimum wage is RM1,000 for those working in Peninsular Malaysia and RM920 in Sabah and Sarawak.

Still a long way off to target.

Grade

B+

PTPTN chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan is looking into ways for borrowers to began loan repayments only after their salaries are over RM4,000 a month. He also lifted the travel ban on 429,945 loan defaulters.

Half the promise fulfilled, but we wonder how this will eventually affect future loan borrowers.

Missing states: Kelantan & Terengganu
