Star SMEBiz ThinkTank (collectively “Business Seminars”) are organised by Star Media Group Berhad (Company No.: 10894-D)(“Organiser”). In consideration of the Organiser’s acceptance of your registration, you hereby agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:-

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Registration

You are entitled to register for the Business Seminar subject to the terms and conditions herein.




If you wish to register for the Business Seminar to be held in Selangor on 2nd October 2018 at New World Petaling Jaya Hotel, you must secure your seat by providing us the particulars of a valid credit card. For clarification, your credit card will only be processed in accordance with Clause (4) hereof.

2. Early Registration

Due to limited seats, you are advised to register early to avoid disappointment.

3. Confirmation

Following completion and return of the registration form to the Organiser, a confirmation slip will be issued via email upon successful registration. If you do not receive the confirmation slip within three (3) working days from the date of registration, please contact our customer support team at +603-7967 1388 ext 1857/1233.

4. Replacement and Payment (if any)

No cancellation will be accepted once the confirmation slip is issued. You may appoint your replacement for the Business Seminar by serving a written notification to the Organiser at least five (5) working days prior to the said Business Seminar date.




If you do not show up for the Business Seminar conducted in Selangor or fail to appoint a replacement within the prescribed timeline, you shall be liable for the payment of Ringgit Malaysia Three Hundred only (RM300.00) as a cancellation fee (“Cancellation Fee”) of which the credit card information provided at the time of registration will be processed by the Organiser, and the Cancellation Fee will be charged on the said credit card. In addition thereto, you shall also be solely responsible for any additional interest and/or processing charges imposed by your bank in respect of the payment of the Cancellation Fee and the Organiser will not be held liable for any of the above charges.

5. Cancellation

If the Business Seminar is not capable of being organised as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser, the Organiser reserves the right in its absolute discretion, to modify the Business Seminar, postpone, terminate or cancel the Business Seminar, as the Organiser deems fit and appropriate by serving you a prior written notice. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any losses and/or damages incurred by you due to the modification, postponement, termination or cancellation of any of the Business Seminars.

6. Copyright

All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by the Organiser in connection with the Business Seminar are expressly reserved and any unauthorised duplication, publication and/or distribution are strictly prohibited.

7. Personal Data Protection

In view of the implementation of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, by registering for the Business Seminar, you hereby expressly grant the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers the permission to use and process your personal data including (but not limited to) name, contact information and/or photographs (collectively, “Personal Data”) for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, notification or permission.




By registering for the Business Seminar, you hereby allow and consent to the collection and process of the Personal Data by the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers. You also agree to receive the latest information about products, news and events updates, rewards and promotions, special privileges and initiatives from the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers.




You may from time to time contact +603-7967 1388 ext 1857/1233 to: (i) obtain a copy of your Personal Data held by the Organiser; (ii) correct or amend any incorrect Personal Data held by the Organiser; or (iii) withdraw your consent to the use/process of your Personal Data by the Organiser, its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers. 8. Miscellaneous Costs

All costs, fees, and/or related expenses incurred or to be incurred in relation to the Business Seminar, which shall include but not limited to the costs of transportation, accommodation, email, postage/courier and/or any other costs, shall be borne separately by you.

9. Exclusion of Liability

You shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) resulting from your participation in the Business Seminar. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any liability, mishap, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) in any manner whatsoever suffered by you as a result of the Business Seminar.
