Another sneak peek at Star Motor Carnival

The Star will hold an additional preview on July 26 for exhibitors and interested parties for the Star Motor Carnival in Septem­ber.

The daily’s chief events officer Iris Tan said this was to cater to requests following the encou­­raging turnout at earlier presentations on July 4 and 13.

Visitors can look forward to great bargains and deals on all things automobile as well as exhilarating car drifting demonstrations, charity classic car rides, inflatable fun fairs, lucky draws and pop performances.

The carnival promises a friendly environment where prospective buyers can get good deals while their families have fun.



“They can carefully choose from a wide variety of vehicles with their spouse or partner and even test drive cars with the whole family,” carnival manager Charles Yong said at the second exhibitors preview at Menara Star here.

About 50 people from over 20 companies attended the preview.

They included representatives from 2020 MotorTrading, 3M Malaysia, Adil Niaga, Gagasan Globe, Amtel, Automobile Association Malaysia, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles, Heap Joo Company, classic car groups, the Road Transport Depart­ment, Petron and Pizza Hut.

The brands and companies which have confirmed participation are Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Kia, Chery Motors, Garmin, Elite Looks (M) Sdn Bhd, JSKY Season Service, Orient Sun Motor Sdn Bhd, D&D Performance Sdn Bhd, MG Dynamic, PZ Lubricant, Cardeas Sdn Bhd, YTL Yes 4G and Terminal One Motorsports.

Tan said all companies running and offering businesses and services related to motoring - from new and pre-owned cars to automobile accessories (tinting, rims, tyres, lighting and interior), car electronics (GPS, music systems, air purifiers and security alarms), gadgets and after-market enhancements, and services (insurance and financing) - should not miss this opportunity.

The inaugural carnival will take place at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, from Sept 14 to 17.

The carnival is jointly organised by The Star and Cityneon Malaysia, and supported by Star Rev and its online companion star-motoring.com, which come under the Star Media Group.
